A poem about feelings…
I’m as happy as a squirrel with a nut
I’m as snug as a bug in a rug
I’m as lonely as a solitary Bengal tiger in a cage
I’m as sad as a cub without it’s mother
I’m as unhappy as a crocodile that’s just lost its eggs
I’m as happy as a badger
I’m as sad as a raven
I’m as lonely as a snail

Pelican at school...
I came across a pelican
On the way to school
His beak was very long
And he let off a big pong
I hid him in my rucksack
So the teacher would not hear
He stayed there very quietly
Until I returned him to his lair

Christmas…
A cup of warmth to make Christmas longer
A packet of love to make Christmas smooth
A jug full of laughter to make Christmas joyful
A spoonful of responsibility to make Christmas proud
Stir in a cauldron of bubbling chocolate
Bake in the oven for a music width of time
Serve it to everyone with grace and good cheer!

On my way to school…

On my way to school I saw a penguin
It was a shiny penguin
It was a fluffy, shiny penguin
It was an orange, fluffy, shiny penguin
It was a short, orange, fluffy, shiny penguin
It was a wise, short, orange, fluffy, shiny penguin
It was a wet, wise, short, orange, fluffy, shiny penguin
And it wanted to live with me!

On my way to school…
On my way to school I saw a porcupine
It was a hedgy porcupine
It was a spiky, hedgy porcupine
It was a miniature, spiky, hedgy porcupine
It was an appealing, miniature, spiky, hedgy porcupine
It was a nosy, appealing, miniature, spiky, hedgy porcupine
It was a lonely, nosy, appealing, miniature, spiky, hedgy porcupine
It was an impeccable, lonely, nosy, appealing, miniature, spiky, hedgy porcupine
And it gave me lines to write!

Porpoise at school
I came across a porpoise
On the way to school
His back was very slippery
And his nose was very long
I hid him in the closet so the teacher would not see
He stayed there very silently
Until frightened by a boy, sneaking past him quietly

Christmas
A cup full of helpfulness to make Christmas lovable
A packet full of cream to make Christmas thick
A jug full of carefulness to make Christmas nice
A spoon full of love to make it all worthwhile
Stir in a thimble of delightfulness
Bake for the space of a hug
Serve to everyone steaming and saturated in warmth

A poem about feelings
I’m as happy as a dolphin
I’m as snug as a mole
I’m as lonely as a vulture
I’m as sad as a whale
I’m as unhappy as a meerkat
I’m as happy as a golden retriever
I’m as sad as an anteater without it’s ants
I’m as lonely as a tortoise without it’s family

Haiku...
Fast water rushing
Hitting sharp rocks and bleeding
Flowing waterfall

Syllable...
Grimy
Filthy, smelly
grabbing slimy earthworms
Never eating with clean fingers
Children.

Word...
Sun
Scorching, boiling
Burning, rolling, satruating
Filling me with warmth
Oven.

Word...
Fridge
Freezing cold
Sticking, drying, wetting
Chilling to the bones
Antarctica.

Quinzaine...
Loves light saturating me
Filling me with warmth
Family.

Wish poem...
"I wish I were
a scientist
inventing bubbling potions
showering in gold
Easily.
